98: Welcome to the World

“Can you still go on, love?” Gavin asked me as we waited in front of the entrance to the venue.

We’ve been running around the venue for thirty minutes after the ceremony to have the post-wedding photoshoot. I got changed into a more casual dress after the shoot in my grand wedding dress and took another round of photos before the photographer was satisfied that he got all the shots that he needed. Honestly, I felt wiped but I couldn’t pass off the reception, it's the best part of the wedding.

“Yeah. I’m fine. I just need some sugar in my system, that’s all.” I said to him as I leaned toward him for support. He smiled down at me as he pulled me closer to him.

“Then let’s get some food for you and baby.” He said with a wink before holding my hand tightly as the doors of the reception area opened. The people inside clapped as the host introduced us. The spotlights blinded me for a second but I continued to wave at everybody inside while we were walking towards the center stage.
