Chapter 14 - Jealous Hearts

The thought made her blood boil, and she clenched her fists in a futile attempt to quell the growing rage within her.

“No,” she told herself, "I won't let my imagination run wild. David is mine, and I won't allow anyone to come between us. I did terrible things to get rid of Kate. I won’t have this woman take him away from me, just like that."

But as Lyra paced back and forth in David's office, her mind couldn't help but replay every interaction she had witnessed between David and Sienna. She observed their body language, the way they looked at each other, and the subtle, knowing glances they exchanged.

The more she thought about it, the more her suspicions grew.

"Could it be that David and Sienna had a secret affair during those months he was gone? Could Xander and Bella actually be David's children?" Lyra's mind raced, and her heart hammered in her chest.

She knew she needed to find out the truth, to confront David and demand answers. But she also knew she needed to tread carefully.
