Lucas watched Aidan leave, then turned to Sophie, giving her a reassuring smile. "How about another chapter from me?"

Sophie shook her head. "I would love to rest now." She settled back into her bed.

As Sophie began sleeping, Karina quickly stepped out and stopped Aidan in the hallway. She approached him, bawling, "You want to snatch my daughter."
