“Make your choice, Lucia.” He said as he held his knife high close to her neck. I slurped down the dreg of my saliva hesitantly as I opened my eyes again, I must be seeing things.

I had never seen something so terrifying, he walked towards her, now my eyes snapped to the emblem as I bent on my knees to fetch it from the ground. “Goddess, please don't let anything happen to Fiona,” I whispered.

I held my breath as I tried to summon whatever it is that is needed to activate the emblem, I looked through the entrance it was filled with typical werewolves and the monsters whose eyes were glowing, if I should think of escape, what about Fiona? It hits harder and I was about to, my heart hammered in my chest, he was going to kill her unless I do something. I was going to be mauled by the death of my friend and should Collins know he would never forgive me, I supposed I had a fire burning inside, but surely, the chaos was not within my control, not just yet.
