"Here sweetie. Drink some of this. It will help." Anna was handing her a tea cup. Amaris had not even noticed Anna leaving. The aroma of the tea brought her back to her senses as she recognized the scent. It was her grandmother's tea that she used to drink to relax her and help keep the nightmares away. "What is it that you are not telling me?" Amaris looked between the three of them. Marco rolled his eyes as the other two stood and looked at the floor. "Amaris. Once werewolves mate, they have cycles much like the real wolf. We are not sure if this will even apply to you. There are no instances of this occuring in the records anywhere, so we have no idea if this will affect you or not." Marco said getting fast as he went. Amaris was now getting frustrated. Anna and Amaris finally went upstairs to get what they needed. It was dark and quiet up there. Amaris went to the living room where Marco and Christos had been working, but it was dark and no one was in there. The computer, maps, and tapestries were all gone as well. "Where did they go?" Anna said looking around. "We have moved our command post and all the guard posts outside the grounds. We need to keep all the unmated males out of scent range. I have a few mated males that I was able to call in to do the closest watches, but I really do not have that many of my men who are mated. Price of being a military man. You are mostly hanging out with other military men. We are able to monitor the house and grounds remotely with cameras. Anna reached up and grabbed her head. "Ugh. No one told me that there would be a migraine. It's a wonder there are any werewolves at all. If all the females feel like this there would not be any babies." she complained. She walked to the bathroom to see if there was anything in there that would help her headache. Amaris jumped up with delight. This is a book that would be useful right about now. She scooped it up off the desk and fell back into the chair with it. She opened the book to the table of contents and found that it was split into two sections. The first section was all about the wolf. The second was all about the human side. As her fingers slid down the page from one chapter to the next, she came upon mating and reproduction. She found the page number and flipped to the section indicated. The first thing that she saw were pictures. They were medieval drawings of a she wolf snarling and baring her teeth. Her cubs were cowering behind her. She was protecting her cubs from some unseen danger. The next picture is of a human woman giving birth under a full moon while she starts to transform into a wolf. On the next page was an anatomical drawing of a woman who is pregnant. This picture had a caption underneath that read : "Female werewolves must stay in their human form whe

Amaris awoke the next morning to silence. It was eerie how quiet it was locked in a sound proof room. She quietly slipped out of her room and into the bathroom without closing the door this time. The sound of the running water did not seem to get a rise out of Anna, so Amaris relaxed a little. When she was done and ready to go for the day. She crept into the kitchen and grabbed two days worth of MREs just in case and several bottles of water and took the to her room. next she carefully moved the throw rug next to the fridge. The Fridge was at the end of the storage cabinets in the kitchen, and right next to the door to Anna's room. She carefully pulled and slid the fridge out. Amaris went back to her room disheartened. There was no way for her to stop or even slow down what was coming. She had to go off of what she had seen Anna go through to know what to expect and what to be watching for. She decided to go and read the book some more to see if it contained anything else that was helpful. As she walked back to the desk, her eyes happened on the phone sitting on the far bedside table. What Christos and Marco had told her came back in a flash. There is a landline to the panic room and as long as it is not cut you can still reach the outside. She stood up and dropped the book on the chair. She walked over to the phone and picked it up and promptly put it back down. She realized that she did not know their phone numbers. She grabbed her back pack that she had thrown all her stuff in when they were grabbing things to take down to the panic room, and rummaged through it. Amaris knew that it was going to be a long wait. So she decided to have something to eat and then read some more. The book had been very helpful so far, maybe it can help her with some of her other questions. She grabbed one of the MREs and a bottle of water and started to make the macaroni and beef packet that she had grabbed. She heard a howl from Anna's room, and then there was a crash. It sounded like the fridge had gone over which meant that she had gotten out. Now Amaris was trapped in the room, and she had no where to hide if Anna got in. Amaris quietly put down the bottle and package that she held and started looking around the room for somewhere to go if Anna got in. At first there was nothing. Then Amaris noticed that under the desk in the wall there was a large metal panel. She got down on her hands and knees to take a better look.
