EMMA Coffee was just as important to my well-being as air was. The coffee pot beeped, and I sighed happily. Thank heavens that it was done. EMMA I was pulled from sleep with a sharp knock on my door. “Go away,” I grumbled. I buried my head underneath my pillow.
