I remembered the day that I met Barachiel clearly. It was the day that I was to start at the Academy to begin my training as a Gaisreen Warrior. All children began when they turned five years old. We all lined up until our names were called, and then we were permitted to enter the Academy.

I was no stranger to being bullied and ostracized. People loved to target me for some reason, but I never went down without a fight. There was a deep need in me to be the victor in whatever I did.
