Chapter Ninety Four

“Elena, can I have a word with you?” She heard her mum call out as she walked into the kitchen the same evenings

How she got into the house was a haze but she was sure it couldn’t be more than Matthew’s work.

“I’m coming Ma.” She replied, groaning out in pain and her eyes acting like it didn’t want to open.

“Ma, I’m so tired. My head is aching and my whole body hurts.” She added, opening some of the pots as she tried to find something to eat.

“I bought pizza. It’s here. I’ll try to cook something after we talk.

“Let’s do it together. You cook and we talk, I’ll stay with you for a little while." Elena replied as she walked towards the living room.
