Chapter Twenty

The course is given in a blur, everything happening too rapidly, and Elena is on her best behavior. The teachers didn’t bother her anymore, and she was more accessible than in the past week. She packed her book as she heard the bell for the cafeteria, rushing to get lunch for Silver before getting hers. Silver had texted her during the last class that she needed to be in the art studio immediately but was hungry.

She wrote down what she would like to eat for her and asked her to help her with bringing it to the studio after. Elena was the first to get on the line in the cafeteria, and she ordered both of their foods and dropped hers on an empty table before scrambling off to the art studio.
