The hall was brightly colored, bearing the colors of the institution and the national flag. Huge bouquets of flowers littered the place in an over decorated kind of way. Millie fidgeted in her seat, a worried look on her face as she checked her phone before locking it once more in a sigh of desperation, no reply.

Tears started forming at the blink of her eyes, almost making her break down as she tried not to think about him but could not help it. It was a few minutes before the start of the ceremony, and he had promised to be here, only to go mute at the last hour.

Millie hoped nothing terrible had happened to him but knew that option could be ruled out since her parents or his mother, whom she had seen arrive from where she was seated, could have informed her of that.
