The Mother-In-Law

“Hey mum, I am going shopping with my high school friends. It’s been long, so we decided to catch up since we are already in town.” Sharon says to her mother while wearing her earrings.

“That’s okay, honey. Just don’t stay out so late.”

“Come on, mom, and I am not a teenager anymore. Sweetheart, will you be okay here?” She asks her husband, Steve, who is busy scrolling his phone.

“Yeah, baby, I’ll be fine. You go and have fun, okay.”

“I love you, babe.” She says, running outside.

“Love you.”

“So, how have the two of you been in your marriage?” Sharon’s mum, Ruth, asks after hearing immaculate drive off.

“Great, ma’am. She is the sweetest girl on the planet.” Steve answers, pride evident in his deep voice.

“Well, I made her.” She says, and they both laugh.

“Am going upstairs
