Inside a townhouse built like a fortress with doors up front and at the back padlocked. Wood planks barricaded the windows on the first floor while ones on the second floor had grills except for the third floor. It was the world Aurelia Vicentes had ever seen and the only people she had known were lady caretaker and houseboy.
