"Ahh, the phone." Oliver turns it on and sees several missed calls on it.

"Yes, your friends have called you and Ethan." One could notice the name rolling off his tongue with difficulty. It's more like they've been rivals for a long time.

"I didn't want to be disturbed by their call on our date." Oliver answers straightforwardly. Alex is amazed at her reply and wonders what really changed her.

"But you really are fond of your friends. What changed?" Alex asks and dips his hands into his pocket.

"My perspective. My thoughts. Everything. I like myself better now. I want to act according to my thoughts and not give a damn about theirs. I'm ready to give us a chance." She chuckles and heads upstairs, leaving him more amazed.

Why won't she like herself better now that she just escaped death? She can't possibly tell Alex about her dying in the fire and coming back in time. He would think she was mad. He will think she hit her head on the ground somewhere and that it affected her brain. Or h
