CHAPTER 26: Daryl’s Death Anniversary

"Nothing," Orion replied, observing Danica's puffy eyes. "Dad was just asking me if you wanted to return to the city and handle some matters at the office."

Orion believed Danica was content with his response, yet an underlying nervousness lingered.

"I'm sorry, Dad. I prefer to stay at the resort on the island," Danica responded.
