Chapter 36: Ending Argument

While Fress was inside making a phone call, Beau and Marigold were standing in front of The Bax Company entrance. Marigold crossed her arms, looking down, as Beau looked at her. He sighed, thought, 'He distressed her. Fress really distressed her. I can't stand seeing her that way,' and he said, "Hey where do you want to go? It's my treat." She mumbled, "Home, I just want to go home right now." Beau sighed, walked over to Sam, and said, "Bring the car around for us." Sam glanced over at Marigold asking, "Is everything alright with Miss Kelp?" Beau said, "Yeah, it's just a hard day." Sam left to get Beau's car and Beau walked back over to Marigold thinking, 'I wish there was something I could say to her to make her feel better, something that I could do. The way Fress distressed her, the way he made her feel… It's unacceptable and I'm going to lose my mind.'
