"Don't— don't! Don't leave me"

I jump off from raw sleep when I hear Christian blabbering and shaking against me. Terrified, I look over at him.

"Chris!" I panic and rub his chest in concern, scooting onto his lap. "Chris, what happened? Baby, what's happening?"

"Don—" his voice hitches when he opens his eyes wider, terror filling them. He's sweating and shaking.

"Chris! Are you okay?" I take his face into my hands and nuzzle his cheeks gently.

He gawks at me as if he can't believe I'm there. He just keeps staring at me without a single word. But his veins are still shaking.

"Hey! What's wrong?" I soften my voice. "What's happening?"

He holds me tightly and looks deeper into my eyes.

"You're here?" He asks with unreal joy and nervousness in his voice.

"Yes. I'm here. I'm here with you, baby", I whisper and scan him closely.

He sighs so deeply that it tenses me more.

"You're not leaving me. Are you?" His voice cracks with literal fear and longing. What's happening to him
