Chapter 152 : Read me a poetry

After a while, I walk near the door and watch through the window. Chrisanna is happily talking to Jarred, giggling and responding quickly. Even though I can't hear a thing, it seems like she really loved his company. I smile at them, crossing my arms.

"Hey!" Kane calls me from behind.

"Hmm"

"I hope you're not feeling too bad. I mean we all are sorry for Jarred but you should know that it was fate. And this revelation shouldn't make a difference to your life, Christian", he tells me.

"I know", I shake my head.

"What happened? You are flashed out", he says.

"I don't know"

"You can tell me"

I let out a deep sigh, feeling a bit restless.

"I won't be able to share my daughter with anyone if I try to be fair", my voice comes out to be a bit heavier.

"What? Why are you saying so?" He exclaims, holding my shoulder.
