Amara's POV

I hadn't expected Darlington to accompany me shopping. I thought he was going to remain in his car while I went shopping alone, but to my utmost shock, Darlington accompanied me. He got out of his car after parking and followed me into the female shopping mall.

"Welcome, sir, ma'am. What would you like to purchase?" The clerk attended to Darlington first, sensing we were a couple.

"Attend to my wife first," Darlington said, and I was surprised to hear him refer to me as his wife in public.

'I thought he hates me,' I said in my mind but smiled as I followed the lady to select the dress that I liked, while Darlington waited for me.

I wasted so much time selecting the dress of my choice. I thought Darlington would be angry with me after I was done selecting all the beautiful dresses and gowns that I liked. I couldn't choose revealing outfits. I didn't like men gawking at me. If any man was to look at me, it should be my husband only.
