27. Asking Questions

Darren:

Sitting on the sofa in the bedroom, I rested my back and crossed my legs, welcoming myself into the room she had locked herself in for the last seven days, not coming out, even for once.

"Are you going to keep standing there?" She stood by the door, her back to me, appearing to have no intention of stepping in. Her hair was packed into a bun, my gaze traveled lower. She wore a light pink T-shirt with a pair of black trousers.

First time I'm seeing her dressed this way.

She released a loud breath before turning to face me, "I'm not comfortable enough with you to serve as each other's company" she said straightaway, and her words made my lips pull into an unknowing smile.

"You'll get used to it," I said and patted the space beside me on the couch for her to come seat.

Pretending like she didn't see that, I watched her step into the room and walked towards the bed, sitting on it and crossing her legs, and then using the duvet to cover them.
