Ivy's Grandfather

"Mr. Livingston, are you okay?" Ivy looked at him with concern.

Andy shook his head, his throat growing increasingly dry. "Emma..." he repeatedly whispered his daughter's name, and his eyes reddened with emotion. It had been decades since he had seen his daughter. "Is your mother all right?"

Hearing this, Ivy’s tone turning serious. "Do you have some kind of personal connection with my mother?"

Andy asked once more, "Do you have a photo of your mother? Can I see it?"

Ivy’s voice stern, said, "Sir, you're crossing a line here. Unless you have your daughter with you, your actions are an invasion of privacy."

Andy, returning to his senses, apologized and pulled out a yellowed, creased photograph from his pocket, handing it to Ivy carefully.

Ivy looked at the photo of a family of three and then back at Andy. She could confirm that the handsome young man in the photo was Andy, but who were the young woman and the child she was holding?

"Do you have any recollection?" Andy looked at her wit
