Chapter 24_ Accident

After they arrived at the mansion, Alex got an urgent phone call which made him leave. He explained that he might take a long time to return and Isabella understood him.

She would've gone with him, but he prefered not to get her involved in it. It was a family business.

Isabella felt lonely when he left the mansion, she had to keep herself busy by doing something. And she chose baking.

Isabella wasn't a good cook but her baking skills were good. She baked a lot of cookies and invited the workers in the mansion to eat with her.

"Hmmmm. It tastes so delicious" one of the maids complimented. Isabella was proud of herself, seeing the maids enjoy her snacks. She promised to prepare more for them.

Isabella made some more, she kept them for Alex Incase he arrives later. He could eat them after his dinner.

The whole day ended quickly and Alex was yet to return, Isabella was so worried. She had no clue as to where he went. She dialed his number several times but never got a response.
