Chapter 16

Brandon couldn't recall where he was in the first place. He awoke in the rear seat of another person's vehicle. It had a vague resemblance to something he'd seen before, but his head was throbbing and he couldn't think straight. His gut felt twisted in multiple knots, and he began to sense the telltale signals that whatever was within was going to spill out.

He slammed the door shut and puked outside the vehicle.

When he glanced down, he was just wearing his pants and sneakers. There is no shirt on. He stumbled out of the vehicle, rubbing his eyes and avoiding his own vomit. He looked about, but didn't recognize anything. Only a home and a human sitting on the stairs with a blue light flashing over their face could be seen in the distance. Perhaps a phone light?
