Chapter 20 — Hidden Feelings

I woke up with my head feeling like it was going to explode. It was still around three thirty in the morning. I looked around and saw no one, so I got up subtly from Mauricio's bed and walked very slowly to the dormitory, where I found Maria still awake.

"Where were you until this hour? Are you taking chances out there?" - I was startled by Maria's voice right behind me and almost broke the glass in my hand.

"I got lost…" - I smiled trying to make the atmosphere less tense.

"I'll only tell you one thing: you'd better watch out for him, Louise, he's our boss and we all know he's not to be trifled with. But... he's as much into you as you are into him." - I feel offended, but I'm not going to argue about it.

I can't tell anyone what he offered me, certainly no one would believe me, but what about Maria? What would she do if she knew? Would she help me?

"I think we'd better go to sleep Maria, after all, where did you get this crazy idea?"

"Isn't it clear? Roberto came here to call
