Chapter 97 — Always together

As the days went by I learned many things, but there was one thing that bothered me: Mauricio sometimes left in the middle of the night thinking I was asleep, and other nights he didn't come home and this was bothering me. We haven't moved in yet for lack of time. Roberto and Clarice finally got it right once and for all and are together for real.

Since I got married I haven't seen Parkinson again. I have looked for him at his house, in the bars he used to go to, and nothing. Emma spoke with a certain conviction that Clarice and I were family, but that doesn't count. I don't even have my mother's last name on my papers.

After a tiring day at work and with Mauricio far away, I didn't risk driving, my body was just dust. I called a cab, and inside the car I started a conversation with Clarice by message:
