36 - I'm Jane, Nat's Fiance
Mercedes jumped out of bed, unlocking the door. As soon as she opened it, she collided with Griffin with a force so strong, they almost fell. She still missed him even though he hurt her feelings but she would take Nathan's advice, and not poke her nose into his relationship matters anymore.
The hug lasted for over a minute before Griffin whispered, "She left me Merce, I should have believed you. Can you forgive me?" It wasn't what Mercedes expected to hear and she was saddened. Why wasn't she happy? She always wanted Griffin to herself and now, without Penelope, who she also wanted out of the picture, it was a perfect opportunity but she didn't see it that way.
