Chapter 61 - Wretched Form

Kirsten’s mind went into overdrive and a barrage of questions raced into her mind. What promise was he talking about? Did he manipulate her again making her believe that he had gotten over Vanessa but in reality he wasn’t? Was getting jealous with James, another ploy of him into pushing her to divorce him. Was he also using Gavin to make their relationship sour that would eventually lead to divorce?

Kirsten stood rooted on the spot staring at the back of the man. Kirsten could no longer recognize the man she loved. Did he truly exist? Or was he just a mirage?

Sensing that someone was looking at him, Matthew turned and saw Kirsten looking at him in daze.

“Let’s talk another time, bye.” Matthew pressed the end call button and walked over to Kirsten.

“Oh, you made me dinner,” Matthew said and took the tray from Kirsten, placing it on his desk.
