Shit. Shit. I slow down a few meters from his building. I still have five minutes. My legs are shaking, my heart is pounding, and the air enters and exits forcefully through my mouth and nose. I put my hands on my knees and take a slow breath. I can't let him think I'm dying. But you are. Damn it.
