Chapter Thirty Nine

~Adriana’s POV~

“This is crazy! You didn’t see me steal anything, did you?” I snapped at the counter clerk who only eyed me and then proceeded to punch aggressively on the keyboard of her telephone as if I didn’t just ask a question.

Her nonchalant attitude annoyed me but what pissed me off the most was the fact that she was doing all these without a care in the world.

“Apprehend her!” She yelled again and this time a few men dressed in security uniforms casually walked up to me.

One of them had the audacity to grasp my arm in a firm grip while the other pointed to the door, saying;

“Madam, please you’d have to follow us right now.”

My anger immediately flared, and in a fit of rage, I aggressively pulled my arm out of the idiot’s grip and then turned to look at the one who seemed like he was the leader right in the eye.

“Can I lend your phone? I need to call my lawyer,” I asked and as soon as I said those words, the counter clerk snorted.
