Chapter One Hundred And Forty Three

Massimo’s POV

“We’re almost there!” Dylan said suddenly from the front of the car, causing me to turn and stare out the window.

Even though the car was fully air-conditioned, I still asked him to wind down the windows, as I wanted to feel the afternoon air.

It was hot, and right now, that was what I needed.

Suddenly, I snapped my attention to the person driving my car. Initially, I hadn’t checked who the driver was, but then his voice caught my attention. It was Dylan!

“Dylan?!” I snarled, glaring at him with cocked eyebrows, “I thought I already asked you to stop working? What’re you still doing here then?!”

At my utterance, Dylan chuckled lightly but then to my utter frustration, he said nothing. Instead, he increased the volume of the music playing on the radio and began to absentmindedly tap on the car’s wheel.

“I just asked a question, Dylan!” I growled, feeling myself get angrier with each passing minute.
