Chapter 10

Madison's POV

"Xavier?" I managed to choke out, my voice barely a whisper. 

I couldn't believe I was seeing Xavier or maybe I was in Dreamland or something, reality came crashing in when I heard Violet's voice.

"Madi are you okay?" Violet stood up and touched my face gently.

I grunt in pain waking everyone up, "A bit, my baby?" I looked at her, my eyes pleading to hear good news.

"Your woman is okay," Adrian got up from the chair, walked towards us, and my eyes broke away from Violet.

"Thanks man," Xavier got up and gave Adrian a handshake and a brotherly hug.

"I better get going, I got plan," Adrian smiled slyly.

"With whom?" Xavier asked suspiciously.

"My woman," Adrian smiled widened.

"Is she town now?"

"Nope going to pick her up from the airport," Adrian clicked his tongue.

"Alright, let me see you off," they both walked out of the door and I immediately turned to Violet.

"What happened to me?

 How is my baby doing? 

Why did Adrian and Xavier sleep here? 

Who called Xavier?

 Does he know am pregnant?" I asked without taking a breath.

"Chill girl, one question at a time, first of all, you had a panic attack and spotting, 

It took a lot but they managed to save your baby,"

Violet paused for a bit as if thinking, "So what next?" I asked impatiently.

"Adrian slept here because he felt he was at fault for what happened and wouldn't leave till you opened your eyes,"

"Xavier? What about Xavier?"

"Adrian called Xavier and he came running when he heard his woman was in the hospital," Violet sat back on the chair.

"Just like that?" Confusion was evident in my voice.

"Yep, just like that," I couldn't believe Xavier would just run here, or did he still have feelings for me? Because I knew my heart raced when I saw him close to me.

I looked at Violet sadness filled my eyes, "does he know?" I asked in a low tone.

"Who? Knows what?" She raised her eyebrows in confusion.

"Xavier," I pointed at my tummy.

Violet's face fell, "No he doesn't, I didn't tell him but I don't know if Adrian did."

I nodded my head, "What do I do now?"

"It's obvious Adrian has a woman by his side and Xavier still loves you,"

"No, bloody hell no!" I cut her short before she could finish whatever she was trying to say.

"No, but please no but just give me time to think," I lay on the bed facing the other side of the room.

I didn't know what I was going to do, Adrian was happily in a relationship Xavier cheated on me so it's a No but what about my baby, he is innocent, I tried to stop the tears from falling.

"Hey babe," I felt someone tap me on my face gently, I slowly opened my eyes to see Xavier, I hadn't realized when I slept off.

Babe? Who me? He must be joking, I sat up and removed his hand from my face, I heard Violet's laugh and we both turned towards her.

"Sorry, sorry, it's the way you pushed his hands," Violet continued laughing.

"How are you feeling?" Xavier chooses to ignore her.

"Why are you here?" I questioned, Violet slowly tiptoed out of the room.

"How do you know Adrian?" Xavier brushed off the question with his.

"I don't know him, I just met him and he somehow assumed I was your girlfriend," I spat bitterly.

"What's with the sour expression?" I came down from the bed

"Nothing, am going to get my discharge papers ready," I picked my clothes to go change in the bathroom

"Don't worry I will do it," Xavier offered and left to do it while I entered the bathroom and changed back to my clothes.

After a few minutes that felt like an eternity both Xavier and Violet came back and we both went to the car, Xavier drove us home and it was total silence, not an awkward one but a comfortable silence.

Weeks had pass by since my encounter with Adrian, my baby bump were beginning to show but I wear baggy clothes to cover them. 

Xavier has been coming to the house more often then usual, his been helping around and trying to win my heart back while me on the other hand, am beginning to develop a soft spot for him.

The doorbell rang, I was about to stand up when I saw Violet going to get it, "I will get it," Violet yelled. I sat back on the chair watching TV.

"Hey! Get ready let's go get some ice cream," Xavier announcement the moment he entered the house.

"Yay! Am dressed," Violet let out a dance of happiness.

"You two enjoy, I don't feel like going," I said concentrating on the TV show I was watching.

"I didn't know you like watching Adrian TV show," Xavier said standing right behind me.

"Well I do," I spat.

"Well I can get you to see the show live," I could hear the pride in his voice and I felt like breaking it.

"No, thank you, am good," I flashed a fake smile and immediately dropped the smile and started watching TV again.

Violet bent down to my ear and whispered, "Let's just go it's for the bady." I nodded my head and followed behind.

We arrived at the ice cream shop, Violet left saying she had something to do at the hotel while Xavier and I got our ice creams. Xavier got a strawberry and vanilla flavor while I got peanut and chocolate mint.

We sat in our booth, I knew Violet was lying about her having something to do at the hotel but I couldn't do anything. I was enjoying my ice cream when Xavier decided to break the silence.

"Babe," I looked up innocently to meet his gaze, I dropped my ice-cream on the top when I saw his serious expression.

"Yes," I bit the inside of my mouth, I had gotten used to being called babe that it doesn't even bother me.

"Am sorry for what I did, I really didn't mean it, I really like you and wish you will take me back into your arms again," Xavier lowered his gaze.

I knew Xavier still had feelings for me but right now things are different, I have to tell him the truth, it's now or never.

I bit my upper lip and muster the courage to tell home the Truth.

"Xavier, I want to tell you something really important," I started he looked at me giving me his full attention.  

"Yes babe, go ahead I can hear you," he put his hands on mine.

I lowered my gaze and bit the inside of my lower lips, "I am pregnant."
