“Ladies and gentlemen, we’d be landing in the next five minutes, please fasten your seatbelts” the shrill voice of the air hostess boomed through the plane’s PA system. As soon as he heard the announcement, Cummins forced his eyes open, and fastened his seatbelt. 

He had decided to make the trip to see his high school friend who owns a arts gallery in downtown Denver after dinner the previous night. 

He had decided to make the trip two months ago, but he had been pushing the date backwards, but he had decided to make the trip now that he’s one of the masterminds of a crime that would definitely be on the pages on most newspapers, he could not afford to be in New York, because he’d almost kill himself with the paranoia that the feds are after him.
