Chapter 61

When she reached the house, she found her father making breakfast in the kitchen. All the things that Bella said came back to her mind. Surely Luke was her father, why did Stella and Bella insist that he wasn’t her father? Tears filled her eyes as she observed him.

“Dad, are you okay?”

“Camila, I have been calling you nonstop. I was so worried about you. Where did you go?” he asked and suddenly paused as he looked at her neck” what happened to your neck, honey” Luke asked with concern when he realized that her neck was bandaged.

Camila didn’t want to make him worried than he was already, so she lied. “Something graced my neck from the office but I am fine now. Don’t worry about it” she assured him.” As for not coming back in the night, something unexpected came up and we had to spend the night at my friend’s place. I hope I didn’t give you much trouble.” She apologized.
