Chapter Twenty-four

Charlie’s POV

I drop my hands but refuse to move, what the hell had I just done “Charlie” and my head snaps up to meet Max’s gaze “Please, just don’t move”

Max rushes to help Alexander off the floor, his nose pouring out with blood and he looks mad as he catches sight of me. I stay perfectly still, there was no way I was moving until someone explained to me what had just happened.

I call out to Alexander, apologising for what had happened even though I didn’t know myself. Max helps Alexander to a room nearby and returns to me “Are you okay?” and I very slowly shake my head

“What was that Max?” he tells me he doesn’t know and that he will call his mother and father in to see if they know anything. When he asks me to go back to my room, I tell him I am not moving and he asks if he can pick me up, I nod but as I move my head the light above me explodes, sending sparks everywhere an
