Confession

Sephora woke up nice and early, despite only getting 5 hours sleep, thanks to her little nightly escapade. She dragged herself out of bed and down to the fighting pit, expecting to be greeted by the beautiful face of her mate - to find that it wasn't Ambrose who was waiting for her, but Joe.

Sephora couldn't deny the bitter disappointment that arose at the thought that he was still avoiding her. Especially when Joe began eyeing her wearily as she approached. She sighed and jumped down into the pit, red dust emitting from her feet as she landed. She glared at the General before her,

"Stop looking at me like that." She snapped at him. Still furious at him for when he'd blocked her path to her mate. And then, for when he'd disappeared without an explanation, leaving Sephora wondering what she'd done wrong.

Joe wisely let his gaze soften, and he even looked apologetic, eyes downcast at the floor. He began to speak, Sephora could practically see the string of excuses forming from his mouth
