041 Return To The Settlement

It had been two weeks, and Ellis was fully recovered. She had continued to practice, and she was excellent. I liked to watch her spar with the wolves most of the time. Susan was picking up. One thing I could tell about my wife was that she was determined and dedicated.

I loved her so much. She had bent a lot and been through a lot for our relationship to work. If she had just walked away, she might be safer. After all, her hair was dyed, she could hide in plain sight, but remaining here put her in danger, yet here she was, determined to keep what we have alive.

There was no need to remain couped up in the house anymore. Knowing her capability and the fact that she was strong meant I could partially move to the settlement. I intended to give my wife free range to do as she pleased. Her dyed hair made her hidden from those that were after her.

I had secretly been searching for her father because I needed answers. It was either the man was good at hiding, or he was dead. I
