Pressure

SELENA'S POV

I buried my head in Tyler's warm embrace. I felt peace; the memory of the past blew like wind in my head.

I heard a sound and swiftly raised my head; it was Pete staggering and walking towards us. His body was filled with wounds, and his face spoke of pain and frustration. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I slowly started withdrawing from Tyler, who also expressed shock because I told him Pete was dead.

I ran to hold him, and he pushed me aside. Pete stared at Tyler like he wanted to destroy him, but his feet weren't strong on the ground. I couldn't stop imagining different scenarios of what might be going on in his mind.

"You left me and ran to your hero," Pete said with a faint tone that struck me so hard.

I moved closer and held his hand. "I didn't leave you; you know I would never do such a thing. I thought you were dead, and the giant might kill the both of us. I ran back but couldn't find you anymore. I didn't know where I was; I cried and screamed so loudly that Tyl
