Chapter one hundred and thirty

Lucas’s POV

As I dispatched the first assassin, his lifeless body crumpled to the forest floor, a deathly testament to the brutality of our battle.

The second assassin lunged at me, his blades slicing through the air with deadly precision. I deflected his attacks with a combination of speed and sheer strength, before delivering a devastating blow that shattered his spine.

“Arrgggghhhh!” He screamed before I put my hand over his mouth and cracked his neck which had him falling to the ground dead.

“Next one,” I smiled.

A surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins as I turned my attention to the remaining two assassins.

“Round him up!” The one who seemed to be the leader said as his lackey lunged at me.

They fought with a coordinated ferocity, their movements fluid and precise. I moved out of their strikes, dodging their lethal blows with a wolf’s grace. But they were skilled, their attacks calculated and relentless.
