Tracy's POV

The footsteps of horses sounded closer and closer. I should not be here because I am quite certain that the noise does not belong to Kia's army. After all, I had already left the black blood pack territory. So, instead of running, I decided to fake death.

"Sir, I think she is dead," one of the soldiers said as he came close to me, hovering above me while I tried my best not to blink or make the slightest movement.

"Step aside, I doubt. She looks fine. She might be in a coma." The person I had assumed to be the Alpha of the pack said as he placed his index finger on my pulse point.

"She is still alive, he announced as he felt my pulse rate.

Now, they know that I'm not truly dead. They would not leave me like that. They might take me back to their pack unconscious and feast with my meat.

Pretending to stir so they would think that I was finally awake, I did my ritual of rubbing my eyes.
