Writer's POV

After a few days had passed since Jade had been poisoned.

She had regained consciousness, but her health was still fragile.

And the Pack's doctor had confirmed that it's a slow poison… So, literally, everyone thought she wouldn't make it out alive.

Marc had been by her side the entire time, worrying about her recovery.

While Harlow, who had always suspected Blair for the whole act had been keeping a close eye on her, trying to catch her in the act of doing something nefarious. But so far, she hadn't found anything incriminating.

Harlow had been feeling down lately. She wasn't sure why, but she just couldn't shake the feeling of sadness that had been weighing on her.

She found herself wandering into space, she was damn well that she saw Blair administering something in Jade's room, and it was also a miracle to her that Blair had disappeared for some minutes and Jade was healed afterward.

Furthermore, she was so lost in thought that she didn't notice Alaric approaching
