Chapter Seventy One

Marc's Pov

For once in all the time that the elders had called on me to tell me the disastrous news I didn't want to hear, I had the situation under control for myself.

It felt good notwithstanding the void I felt inside of me to see these old treacherous men argue amongst themselves.

"I'm your spokesperson but I don't reside in your hearts, I only speak what you all must have concluded." He stated, standing his ground and I chuckled inwardly staring at their frustrated faces.

"I can see for a fact that you don't have the answer settled in mind, I'll have to leave because I've run out of patience sitting down here immobile and listening to your jittering. Get back to me once you have an answer settled in mind. Besides, there is somewhere I have to be at this instant." I reiterated whilst standing up though I thought I might receive some scolding for trying to leave their presence without their permission.

To my utmost surprise, none of them breathed a word till I walked out the door
