Chapter 26 - The Best Birthday Party of Your Life

But then came the day when I did something unthinkable. It was Damian’s birthday. I asked if he was planning to have a party. He said no, he’d rather spend time with me. I bought him a small birthday cake, and we celebrated his birthday at his place, joking around, being romantic, and drinking.

Once, I asked him why he called me ‘Baby girl’.

“Because you are cute and small, just like a baby girl.” He said, his eyes twinkling.

“You know that I’m way older than you, right?” I grumbled, but in my heart, I loved his term of endearment for me. It was cute. He made me feel younger.

“You don’t look like you are that much older than me, and you are really, really tiny, you know that, right?” He asked me back, smiling boyishly.

“Only because you are a giant.” I rolled my eyes at him. It was true. I had never seen someone as tall and as big as him. I could say that he was near twice my size.

He laughed at my reply.

I then asked him why he was single, seeing how handsome he was.

“I had a bad experience, Baby girl, and it’s not something I want to go through again,” he said softly with his arm around me.

“Bad experience?” I asked him. Did he have his heart broken?

“Hmm.. My ex-girlfriend, all she wanted was my money and to show me off in front of her friends. When it didn’t work out, she gave me the scars,” he smiled bitterly.

I immediately straddled him and reached out to open his shirt at the mention of his scars. His hands shot out to grab mine, stopping me from opening his shirt.

“Damian, I want to see the scars. Can I?” I pleaded.

He sighed and let go of my hands, letting me open his shirt. My hands moved, unbuttoning all the buttons, and I reached out toward the scars.

“Damian, what happened? Why would she do such a thing to you?” I asked while tracing my fingers on his scars. I couldn’t believe that someone could hurt his beautiful body.

“I broke up with her, and she became hysterical, trying to get me back. When I didn’t want her back, she came to my place the next morning. She got the key from my mom, saying she wanted to surprise me as it was my birthday. I hadn't told mom I had broken up with her, so mom let her have the key to my place. I was still sleeping when she arrived, and she decided to burn me as an act of revenge for breaking up with her.” He shuddered at the memory.

“Do they hurt?” I looked at him.

“Not anymore, Baby girl.” He caressed my cheek.

“Do you still love her?” I asked softly.

“No, I don’t think I was ever in love with her,” he said, still caressing my cheek, looking deep into my eyes.

“Hmm..” was all I could say. I let my hands roam around his body, touching his chest, tracing his muscles, his stomach, and his waist, all the while checking to see if there were more scars. Then suddenly, Damian’s hands grabbed mine.

“Do you want to see the rest of me, baby girl? You know the position we are in, you straddling me and your hands touching every part of my body, going lower and lower. It looks like you want to get me naked.” He whispered sexily in my ears.

I looked at him and then at my hands. I could feel my face going red. I was going to open Damian’s pants. Oh my God, I was so embarrassed. Typical Damian, he smirked. I punched him a few times, making him laugh harder.

I pouted and positioned myself beside him, and he pulled me closer. I could feel that he was still laughing, and I punched his arm again.

“But you’ve been with other girls, right?” I asked, trying to move the subject as far away as possible from my embarrassing moment.

He raised an eyebrow at me and said, “You mean do I sleep around with girls, Baby girl?”

“Yeah, you look like you’d do that,” I stated, somewhat embarrassed to ask the question.

“No, Baby girl, we don't do that. Just like Rai, I only sleep with the one I love,” he said softly, stroking my hair.

“You’ve only been with your ex-girlfriend?” I looked at him, surprised by the information. I thought he was the type who slept around. He seemed like a player.

He opened and closed his mouth a few times. I could see that he was hesitant to answer.

“You had sex with girls other than your ex-girlfriend!” I exclaimed and laughed.

“No! No, Baby girl, I’d only done it with my ex-girlfriend. I swear to God I’m not that type of man,” He explained fast to me.

I just chuckled. It was okay if he had done it with many girls, but why did he panic when I told him he had done it with many girls?

“Come to think of it, I’ve only done it twice with my ex,” he said thoughtfully, shattering my thoughts.

“What?! Why?” I looked at him, surprised by the information he had just given me.

“She didn’t like it. She said I was too rough, and she never touched me anymore,” he explained and blushed.

“How rough?” I asked.

“Do you want to try me, Baby girl?” He asked with that wicked smile and voice of his.

My heart pounded at his words and expression. An image of us having rough sex popped into my head, sending pleasurable shivers down my body. I blushed when I realized what I was thinking.

“I don’t believe that your ex stopped touching you,” I told him instead, not wanting the image to stay in my mind much longer. It was wrong to imagine having sex with my boyfriend’s best friend. But I meant what I said - who would turn down a man like Damian?

“Why not?” He laughed.

“Well, you are hot, Damian. If you are my boyfriend, I won’t be able to keep my hands off you.” I pointed out.

“Really, Baby girl?” He asked, touching my chin, so I looked at him, his eyes twinkling, his smile slow and seductive.

His thumb caressed my bottom lip slowly as he moved his face close to mine I could feel his hot breath against my lips, and whispered, “Do you want to make love to me now, Baby girl? Since you can’t stop touching my body since you opened my shirt just now.”

At his nearness and his words, my hand stopped tracing his muscles. My eyes widened, and my lips parted. I looked at his eyes and lips, tempted to kiss him right then and there.

Luckily Damian suddenly smirked, shattering my thoughts of kissing him. I punched him instead.

“But you loved her, right?” I tried to change the subject. My hand started retracing his muscles. He really was sexy. I loved touching his body.

“My ex-girlfriend? I thought I did.” He shrugged and pulled me closer.

“Hmm.. Have you ever been in love since then, Damian? I could feel the pain and longing when you were singing. Are you in love with someone you couldn’t have, Damian?” I closed my eyes, feeling the comfort of his body.

He didn't reply, so I looked at him. There was something warm in his eyes, but he only smiled softly.

“You know that you are cute, right? Especially when you are tipsy like this.” Damian asked, obviously changing the subject.

“Why?” I asked.

“You never let go of me, and you keep kissing my cheek,” he said, caressing my cheek, flashing me his gorgeous smile.

“Well, you’ve never seen me when I’m angry,” I told him. We had fights, but I didn’t think I had ever been angry at him, more sad than angry. I was sure he’d never seen me angry before.

“Oh, trust me.. I’ve seen you.” Damian smiled lightly.

“And you still think I’m cute when I’m blazing with anger?” I raised one eyebrow while asking him, challenging him to answer.

“Nahh.. not cute. Just hot as fuck.” Damian said, smiling his devilish smile.

“I don't believe you’ve only been with one woman.” I blushed but managed to roll my eyes at him.

He laughed softly.

Enough about all of this, I thought.

“Let’s party, Damian; it’s your birthday. I'm going to give you the best birthday party of your life. I'll replace the painful memory of that bitch ruining your birthday years ago," I told him as I pulled him up for a dance. I was not one who would curse at someone, but my protective side wanted to call his ex a bitch. She didn't have the right to burn his perfect body!

Little did I know what followed next would indeed be the best birthday party he would remember for the rest of his life.

We danced around, drinking, having the time of our lives. I was pretty drunk, so I sat down on the sofa, and Damian followed, pulling me close to him.

“Damian, do you love me?” I asked as I closed my eyes and snuggled closer to him.
