Chapter 103: All Done - Part 2

Back at the Carter's, Ethan after the call decided to return to the bedroom since it was late. He decided to skip supper but upon putting the key into the keyhole he felt there was someone behind the door but when he opened the door, the hallway was empty.

He stood there for a while and headed for the bedroom. When he entered, Jacqueline was already in bed fast asleep. He checked the time and it was only fifteen minutes past the hour seven. He was surprised to see her sleeping in very early as she would only come to bed after 8 p.m. He was also aware she had not resumed work yet as she told him, she took two weeks off work for their honeymoon and she had only spent two days of it.

He changed into his sleepwear and climbed into bed next to her. He stared at the back of her head for a while before covering himself with the sheet. He placed his hand behind his head and rested on the pillow.
