"Who are you?" Ethan questioned holding out the knife and the man stood to his feet.

He turned to look at Ethan and Ethan's eyes widened.

"Dad?" Ethan said and rubbed his eyes to look again.

"How? I thought you were...but we. .." Ethan began but could not complete any sentence he started.

"Ethan, you just roll with things without asking questions. Did you see me in the casket?" Mr Carter asked and Ethan recalled the casket was never opened.

"So you were alive all this why and you never showed your face. You left me when my feet had not yet touched the ground to handle your business. Why? Now I lost it all," Ethan said with mixed emotions.

"Ethan, the business was doing fine all you needed to do was just watch them not sign them over to another," Mr Carter said

"Mum said it was the right thing to do," Ethan defended.
