How can this man be smiling when the cop is out there?

”Carl, we are going to be arrested” I panicked

“You worry too much, Melanie,” Carl said and alighted from the car, shutting the car door behind him

“Hello sir, are you having a problem? I saw you parked by the road and I thought you had an issue with your car” the man who knocked at the car window asked 

“No, not at all, my wife in the car is pregnant and she ordered me to stop the car and give her s foot massage, and you know how pregnant women are, you just have to obey if not they accuse you of insulting them and being inconsiderate” Carl said to the man.

I laughed quietly, who would have thought Carl to be a man full of jokes?

“Oh, I understand, when my wife was pregnant, she woke up every day at 12:00am to cry that I wasn’t carrying the pregnancy with her”
