As I stepped out into the chilly evening air, I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I was determined to quickly buy the groceries and return home to Sofia. The supermarket was just a short walk away, and I hoped that the late hour would mean fewer people and a quicker shopping trip.

As I walked briskly towards the supermarket, my mind began to wander. I couldn't help but think about how different my life had become in the past few years.
