Chapter 66

Carl turned the wheel and entered the slums of the New York City suburbs. Here, many ladies of the night were seen hawking themselves to guests, mostly older men and young married men.

Nathan, who was sitting next to Carl, rolled down the window and took a look around. His eyes were quite interested when he saw a woman standing in a short knee-length dress among the narrow alleys. The red color of her dress stood out against the yellowish street lights. The woman waved and blinked one eye at Nathan as they met eyes, but Nathan only snorted amusedly in return.

"Is she your type?" Carl suddenly commented.

Apparently the man in his all-black outfit had observed Nathan and the woman before they turned the corner. Flo, who had almost closed her eyes, suddenly perked up and lowered her legs from the seat. She leaned forward and looked at Carl and Nathan in turn. "Which woman?"

Nathan turned his head in displeasure, while Carl only chuckled briefly.
