Ch35: The truth

When we got to the company, Dave held my hand and pulled me towards the elevator. I was a bit surprised when I saw how people were looking at us.

“Brother…” I called in a whisper as I ran to catch up with his long steps. “Why are they looking at us like that?“

Dave intentionally slowed down. He must have realized that he was pulling me so fast. “Just ignore them,” he said, his voice still calm.

In his office, I sat on the sofa at the side as he worked. But every time he stood up to go somewhere, I wanted to tag along.

“Tsk tsk,” Dave chuckled when I stood up again to run after him. “I am just going to the washroom. Do you want to join me?“ He asked.

I blushed. “Oh,” I said and smiled awkwardly. “Go! Go! I will wait here,” I said, and went back to watching a movie on his laptop on the seat.

I heard him sigh before he left. But when he came back, he sat on the sofa beside me. I looked up at him with a smile.

“Where is your phone?“ He asked calmly. I did not think too much. I just pushed
