CHAPTER 39

"Can you call me Daddy again, Buddy?"

I don't know how many requests Aldo made to Arkan.

We finished shopping and were in the car, but he was still talking like that. I'm almost irritated by his repetitive request, but Arkan looks more irritable because he kept on pouting.

"Daddy," he murmured lazily.

Aldo smiled again, as if he had won the lottery. He hugged Arkan tightly, and now his eyebrows were meeting.

"One more—"

"Will you stop, Aldo? You can see that Arkan is already annoyed, and yet you don't want to stop."

I couldn't resist saying that, especially since I knew Arkan was already irritated and annoyed.

"I'm just happy," was his simple answer.

I blinked and shook my head. Fortunately, he was quiet. I thought he was nice until we got home, but I couldn't help but be nervous after he stopped me from entering the house.

"We need to talk—"

"Speak now." I folded my arms as he raised his eyebrows.

He snorted a little and pouted after watching me.
