I thought she and Alaric would fight, but luckily they didn't. He just gently pulled my elbow away from there and closer to Arkan. I even heard Addison muttering, but I just ignored it.

"Don't you think you are too much?" I asked weakly.

"Too much? I just protected you, Mayu," he said sarcastically.

Without a word, he let go of my elbow and approached Arkan. Without saying a word, he picked up the child and left me behind.

I was shocked, and I think I got a headache from what he did. Even though I didn't want to, I hurried to catch up with them.

"Where are we going, Daddy?" I heard Arkan ask.

I slowed my pace when I was close and stopped myself from calling them.

"I wanna go where you wanna go, Buddy," he said gently. The taint of anger was gone.

"Um, I'll ask Mommy." He turned to me and smiled, "Where do you want to go, Mommy?!"

I was stunned for a moment. I don't know what to say. I also simply glanced at Aldo, who was looking at me with a slightly wrinkled forehead.
