"Work, Sweetie. I'm waiting," I read his text.

I shook my head and rolled my eyes. Even though the text was from an unknown number, it was clear, just like distilled water, who it was from. I wouldn't be surprised if Aldo had my number. I guess he can spin everything in the palm of his hand. Well, except me.

I smirked after realizing it had been a week since we hadn't tangled up under the sheets. He texts every day and waits for me to get out of the elevator, but I'm ignoring him. I'm serious when I say that was the last; it just depends on a miracle.

I want a ring on my finger before giving in to him again. He can't benefit from my body for free while I'm still not accepted by my parents. If I had the chance to visit old man Castellanos, I would have done it. Maybe if he's the one to offer marriage, I'll grab it too.

I stopped in front of the elevator after feeling the vibration of my cellphone. I raised an eyebrow when I read Aldo's message.
